Dumb Fish

So on my mom's property there is a little stream that runs through it. Andrea was over here and we went by the stream and saw this large fish in there. We thought how cool we would be if we could catch it! Andrea first attempted with her bare hands and would have succeeded but was grossed out by its sliminess and dropped it. We then got this crate and I used a plastic toy shovel to keep the fish moving forward. We were out there literally an hour trying to catch this fish. It kept swimming away but then would come right back. At first we thought this fish was pretty dumb to keep coming back, but after awhile I started wondering if we were the dumb ones. Was the fish just taunting & laughing at us? But at the end, we concluded that it was indeed a dumb fish!

By the way, we didn't eat it. It was returned to the stream, and it swam away quickly out of sight. Finally.

Costco, Sam's Club, Mall, Restaurants

We were excited to have Papi visit us for a week in May. I think the title summarizes what we did when he was here. This is ritualistic. We do just that everytime he comes to visits without fail. I really believe his favorite place in the world is Costco! We don't go there just once when he is here, but literally every single day! By the time he leaves, I swear we have everything at Costco memorized and have had our shares of samples to last a lifetime. Anyway, we had a lot of fun with him, got fat, and the kids didn't want him to go; especially since he would bribe Kaleb with Matchbox cars if he would simply eat his lunch. After he left, Kaleb after every meal would tell me that he ate all his food so now gets 4 cars! I don't think so!

Papi has joined the world of Skype so now the kids can call him anytime from the computer for free! I don't know if I love this--Papi, after talking to Kaleb, told me that I needed to get 5 cars for Kaleb because he had told Kaleb on the computer that he would get them for him. Ahhhh!

Kayden's Birthday

So my family was gone to New York, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, etc (the Church History sites) so it was just us for Kayden's birthday (May 30) and our good friends (the Nielson Family). Kayden is now officially a terrible 2--but has been that way since 9 months. He is plain crazy! We started singing Happy Birthday and he just cried and told us to stop. He doesn't like anyone to sing. It's pretty funny.
I think his favorite gift was the thermos thing that we gave him. You might think that is an odd gift, but Kayden (as you can see from the pictures above) always takes around ours so thought why not give him his own!

So I ran out of wrapping paper, hence the reused girly bag. I don't think Kayden minded though.
