Thumb sucking is one of the most common self-soothing habits. I did it, my sister did it, and I always expected my kids to do it as well, but this does not seem to interest them. I was surpised to learn what their self-soothing habits were/are and thought I'd share them. . .
I threw in these pictures so you could see how long Kaleb's eyelashes are. The one below I threw in, well to be honest, more because I think it is so funny! This is Kaleb when he was 4 months old. I kind of surprised him with my new camera with flash!
Although Kaleb had a few self-soothing habits, one of the things he would always do, especially if he was trying to sleep, is to pull his eyelashes. I wish I had a photo of this, but of course I don't. He has super long eyelashes so this was easy for him. I thought this was really weird until Kayden.

It is not uncommon to find his zip-up pajamas unzipped to right below his belly button.
Because he picks at it so much, a lot of the time his belly button appears to be an outie! So I had an eyelash pulling kid and have a belly picking boy. What do your kids do?

Whenever Tanner would get embarrassed or sad he would put his hands like banoculars and cry. Self sooth or just plain silly who knows. Eden is a belly button girl to. Oh and a naked one. She likes to get down to her skibbies and lay naked in MY bed. AHHHH As for Nate I think snoring is his self sooth. hee hee
I'm not gonna lie, Ale--that's pretty funny. Kids all do funny things. My niece went through a phase where she always had one finger up her nose and one in her belly button!
Alex has officially become addicted to soft silky things--especially LDS garments. I finally gave him one of his own for when he sleeps. His nanny seemed a little confused to find my underwear in his crib. But now she's totally on board--she gives it to him at every nap.
Kaleb did this took right?
For Jaelle she likes to have something (blanket or burp rag) touching her face and then she can fall asleep, she has also as of late found her left thumb and sucks on it after she's asleep.
Miriam likes to be cradled and have the passifire held in her mouth in order for her to fall asleep. Given these things don't happen all the time but I have noticed that they enjoy these things the best.

Ale, my youngest sucks his thumb and I LOVE it! I want one from now on because they are so happy! I am amazed that your son still has eyelashes and that they are so long! I want them! You have really cute kids!
